It is an unbeatable slush in the drink department and my loved one. As I need something cool, this crispy and yummy slush is best to feed up and is not overpoweringly sweet. So I enjoy it without the stress of increasing calories.
Ice: Make the slush cool and frosty. Perfect for getting rid of summer.
Rum: I used white rum. It gives incredible flavor with lime and mint. If you want non- non-alcoholic mojito, you will skip the Rum and add sparkling water.
Simple syrup: simple syrup is necessary for mojito slush. I make my easy, simple syrup. I need sugar and water to make it.
Lime juice: I prefer fresh lime juice that gives a crisp and refreshing taste that bottled lime juice does not get.
Club soda: It is optional. I prefer to give a subtle bubbly effect to slush.
Mint: Traditional mojito slush has a blended mint taste. The mint gives it fresh, bright colors and makes it attractive.
- Simple syrup: Add sugar and water to a saucepan and put it on medium flame. Stir until the sugar dissolves and continue to boil. Cook until the syrup coats the spoon back.
- Freezing: Put the syrup into an ice-making tray and place it in the refrigerator.
- Blend: Add 1/3 cup of Simple syrup, lemon juice, club soda, mint, white rum and ice to the blender. Turn on the food processor but do not whisk too much.
- Serving: Pour the mixture into a Collins glass for serving.
